glexec (0.9.6-1) The source package of glexec consists of three upstream tarballs: - The main glexec sources - glexec-wrapper-scripts - mkgltempdir The latter two are auxiliary programs to help users with some common tasks. They have their own upstream sources, but their relatively small size didn't warrant packaging them individually. Moreover they are not expected to change very often. While the usual Debian development tools can handle multiple original sources, the development of the packaging is done in SVN, and we heavily rely on svn-buildpackage as the first in a chain of packaging tools. However, svn-buildpackage cannot handle multiple upstream sources (bug #577140) so a workaround is required when starting from the original svn packaging sources. This workaround is not required when starting from an already packaged .dsc file. The workaround: Call: svn-buildpackage --svn-export --svn-noninteractive It should fail and result in a partially unpacked source tree. Go to ../build-area/glexec-0.9.6 untar ../../tarballs/glexec_0.9.6.orig-mkgltempdir.tar.gz. Rename the directory to mkgltempdir (i.e. without the version number). Now the directory can be further treated with dpkg-buildpackage as usual. (the original tarballs can be obtained by running uscan --download-current-version) -- Dennis van Dok (Software Engineer) Mon, 23 Apr 2012 09:37:01 +0200
